The film is scheduled to be theatrically released in North America on September 6, 2019. It's just a question of whether or not people want to see it but I do think It was on this planet for a very, very, very long time and that's a lot of bloodshed and a lot of stories to tell and I think you could do that for sure. Ben Hanscom is finally where he always longed to be, at the side of his childhood crush Beverly Marsh. And he — it — remembers everything. Dauberman would later leave the project to write and direct , while was brought in as his replacement. This defeat motivates the monster to rebuild its strength and exact revenge against the Losers once they return to Derry. Nevertheless, it's not difficult to know why it can be deficient. Upon realizing that It has resurfaced, Mike calls the other members of the Losers back to Derry. That's not too surprising given it's a 1,100-page novel, so there's a wealth of stuff in there that even two movies can't fit in, despite , but the biggest changes come in the ending. Despite nearly securing del Toro, he was not included in the final film. This did not happen, though a golden turtle statue can be seen in the adult Ben's home and a smaller one can be seen in a classroom scene. Or at least that's how things appear. The adult actors are not very good compared to the child counterparts. He's constantly mocked for it, with even his wife, Audra, not liking the ending to the book they're turning into a film at the outset of the movie. In September, the first pictures of Skarsgård in character on set in Toronto emerged. Stan reveals in his letter that he was too scared to deal with Pennywise again and his suicide was actually a means to give his friends a fighting chance against It and asks the remaining Losers to live life to the fullest. At a baseball game, a little girl named Victoria is killed after It deceives her by saying that he can remove a birthmark from her face. Much like the first movie, It Chapter Two has a lot of disturbing scenes, and none of them include Pennywise a. What makes Eddie's death all the more heartbreaking though is that one imagines he and the other adult Losers' would've offered Richie nothing but acceptance if he came out as gay, even if Eddie didn't reciprocate his romantic feelings. When he returns to Derry and goes to buy his old bike, the shopkeeper - played in an extremely meta-nod by Stephen King himself - tells him that he's read his book, and he too didn't like the ending. Mike gets caught by It, but Richie manages to distract It allowing Mike to escape, getting caught in It's Deadlights, and Eddie is fatally impaled after saving him. Antes de llegar al cierre, es necesario acompañar a los personajes por su propio recorrido personal en donde recuperarán memorias que los atacarán en su presente. Of course, the Losers still defeat Pennywise, they just go about it a bit differently onscreen. Bill Hader will play Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa is Mike Hanlon, James Ransone will play Eddie Kaspbrak, and — finally! In June 2018, joined as the adult version of Mike Hanlon, while and Will Beinbrink were also cast as Adrian Mellon and Tom Rogan, respectively. Sin embargo no es difícil saber porqué puede ser deficiente. And from that point on the story is pretty much the same as chapter One, with the exception that main characters can die now. So, there might be something interesting out of it. Kersh, as , Bill's deceased younger brother, and as Patrick Hockstetter, Henry's dead friend who was killed by Pennywise in the sewers in 1989. Shown only to fans at the event, the footage reportedly shows Beverly returning to her family home as an adult, where she learns that her father has since passed away. In May 2018, , , and joined the cast to portray adult versions of Eddie Kaspbrak, Ben Hanscom, and Stanley Uris, respectively. Muschietti, in that aspect, has an incredible vision and shares a visual trip rich in creatures and spooky, bloody, psychotic and spectacular situations that aims to be one of the best hunted houses that cinema has done. After the filmmakers spent time discussing the project prior to the first film's release, Chapter Two started to move forward in 2018 with the casting of the grown-up Losers' Club. The story takes its time to explain the main characters, and the pacing becomes rather slow and boring halfway through the movie. In September 2017, Muschietti and his sister mentioned that Chastain would be their top choice to play the adult version of Beverly Marsh. The teenage actors were digitally to match their respective ages during filming of the first film. Both Richie and Eddie recall their own personal encounters with It while retrieving their artifacts: a game token from an abandoned arcade, and an inhaler. He summons the other Losers back to Derry when It resurfaces. One assumes Bev will soon file for divorce from her abusive husband, and she and Ben will become a successful power couple. Filming concluded in early November 2018 after 86 days of production. Pero cuando están todos juntos se puede sentir una interacción interesante y fluida; visualmente unidos aportan las gotas de nostalgia más importantes de la película. Mike Hanlon, the only member of the Losers' Club who stayed in Derry, overhears the incident on a police scanner and rushes to the scene. The clown was scary, but not as much as in the last movie. Beep beep — Chris Evangelista cevangelista413 Fan Theory: the guy in the shorts is Pennywise. He's more than earned it, even if he was wrong about the Ritual of Chud. What the hell is wrong with these people? The Losers join a traumatized Bill at the Neibolt house, talking him out of facing It alone out of guilt. Eddie was Richie's best friend when they were kids, and that friendship had been revived and seemed natural once again. That means includes the , and Bill meeting a giant metaphysical turtle called Maturin, who helps him defeat It. None of the encounters with Pennywise really strike a scary tone, and the final showdown is very underwhelming and incredibly stupid. Richie and Eddie decide to leave until Beverly reveals that ever since she was exposed to It's Deadlights, she has been experiencing visions of their deaths should they fail or leave town without fulfilling their promise. In the riverbank, he notices offering him help. Filming began in June 2018 and wrapped in October of that year. Related: The Ritual of Chüd is also quite different too. In the novel, a young gay man called Adrian Mellon is beaten by a group of kids in a hate crime and then killed by Pennywise. Lo and behold, It returns 27 years later 2016 to pick off the next generation of kids in Derry — meaning that the original kids, who are now all grown up, have to stay true to their word and take on It all over again. Getting Stan's shower cap in the Losers' old clubhouse, Mike advises the others to find their artifacts by retracing their steps following their falling out after first entering the Neibolt house. The synagogue in the film was actually the Congregation Knesseth Israel in Toronto. Summary: Twenty-seven years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise, he has returned to terrorize the town of Derry once more. On July 17, 2019, the second poster and the final trailer were released at the. The book ends where the second movie ends, so that is the final chapter of this story. There might be a story there that might be worth exploring. It was a nice signpost to write towards, which I dug. Additionally, Teach Grant portrays Henry Bowers, a psychopath who terrorized the Losers Club in the summer of 1989 before he was arrested for killing his father. Some interiors were filmed at a 1902 mansion in Toronto, Cranfield House, while homes in the city, and in Oshawa and Pickering, were used as exteriors. On September 25, 2017, announced that the sequel would be released on September 6, 2019, with and Jeffrey Jurgensen who later went uncredited writing the script. Background Talks for an It sequel began in February 2016, when Muschietti revealed the plan to get production underway. The kids were just so much better and I mean by a long way. Filming began on June 19, 2018, at Pinewood Toronto Studios and on locations in and around Port Hope, Oshawa, and Toronto, Ontario, and wrapped on October 31, 2018. The lower debut was attributed to a more mixed critical reception, as well as the nearly three-hour runtime, which exhibitors said curbed business. Back to Derry with these Losers. That's a big change from Stephen King's book, in which two different Rituals of Chüd prove effective in helping the Losers' slay their shape-shifting nemesis. Ideally, we would start prep in March. As an adult, Mike is the only one to stay in Derry and becomes the town librarian. As an adult, Richie becomes a successful stand-up comic in Chicago. Finally, in February 2018, Chastain officially joined the cast to portray the character, making the film her second collaboration with Muschietti after. Ben recalls his childhood encounter with It at high school before realizing his artifact is the yearbook page Beverly signed which he kept in his wallet. He played It forms, Hobo the Leper and The Witch. Later, Teach Grant was cast to play the adult version of Henry Bowers, played by , and was also cast, as Bill's wife. Personally, I enjoyed it, especially the third act since there's an evident intention of expanding and exploiting most of all the visual concepts that could exist in the book or at least the ones that Gary Dauberman the screenwriter planned for this adaptation. A huge thank you to all of them and also to my producer and sister barbaramus who dealt with all the shit that a production like this has reserved for producers. Talks for an It sequel began in February 2016. Hay más aventura que terror, más suspenso que espantos, más comedia que drama y, general, este es un cine gore. After the Losers part ways, Ben and Beverly become a couple, Richie returns to the kissing bridge where he had once carved his and Eddie's initials, Mike decides to move out of Derry and start a new life, and Bill begins writing his new story before receiving a call from Mike as he leaves Derry, learning that Stan sent them all posthumous letters. In the intro of the movie a gay couple gets beaten halve to death for no justified reason, and one of them even gets thrown into a river from a bridge to drown. Meanwhile, Henry Bowers, who survived being pushed into the well at the and was arrested for murdering his father in 1989, escapes from a mental institution with help from It. Eddie dies from his injuries, and the Losers are forced to leave him behind when It's death causes a cave-in that destroys the Neibolt house. This comes shortly after Eddie is killed by Pennywise's clown-spider hybrid form, and it's quite possible that the pain of watching their friend die is what finally gave the rest of the the resolve they needed to overcome Pennywise's trickery. King often injects himself into his characters, and Bill is no exception, but this takes things even further by so directly addressing a criticism of King himself: that he can't write good endings. Part two is about these characters 27 years later as adults, with flashbacks to 1989 when they were kids. While the first movie wasn't memorable but did entertain a little, i see much less value in this movie. The future of this version has not yet been announced, as of September 2019. Bill's appetite for writing books looks to be rejuvenated, and he'll presumably head back to his wife Audra in Hollywood, where hopefully he considers ditching that screenwriting job that caused him so much grief early in the film, and learns to write good endings. Pennywise comes across much nicer and even less gruesome compared to these hillbilly psychopaths. Part one is only about the kids. Damaged by the experiences of their past, they must each conquer their deepest fears to destroy Pennywise once and for all. Nobody I know outside of jail speaks like this. After defeating Pennywise in the first chapter, the group agree to return to Derry, Maine should the shape-shifting ghoul ever return to their hometown. Richie loved Eddie, and kept that with him his entire adult life, and now he's lost him. That second act is kind of heavy and fails in graving the public since the characters even though they have all the potential of representing many minorities are so bounded to get over situations so personal that any transcendence is nullified. This time, however, It really has been defeated for good. What's most disturbing is the brutal way people in this town treat each other. Although he has become a successful author, remains wracked by the guilt over Georgie's death, blaming himself for what happened. The Losers all leave town, and eventually their memories begin to fade again. In the book, Adrian is thrown off a bridge by homophobic teenagers, leaving him at the mercy of Pennywise. Those looking forward to seeing It: Chapter 2 might want to grab a quick power nap before heading to the cinema this coming September as it clocks in at two hours and 45 minutes. Once the Losers are able to overcome their fear of Pennywise for good, his power evaporates, making him easy pickings for a taste of his own medicine. These bullies working through Pennywise was important for us to show. Molly Atkinson reprises her role as Sonia, Eddie's -stricken mother, and also plays Eddie's wife Myra, who is very similar to Sonia. Brandon Crane, who portrayed the young Ben in the , also makes a cameo appearance as a board member of Hanscom Architecture. They are scattered, memories tattered, but Pennywise the Dancing Clown Bill Skarsg ård is ready to greet them all. I've seen it, and it's terrific. Now adults, the Losers have long since gone their separate ways. By September 2017, New Line Cinema announced that the sequel would be released in September 2019, with Dauberman writing the script, and Muschietti expected to direct the film. In The Tommyknockers, one of the townsfolk under alien influence sees a brief vision of Pennywise when visiting Derry. It was overpowered and seriously wounded by the Losers Club in 1989, forcing it into early hibernation. Otherwise, a number of the basic endpoints - Ben and Beverly; Richie going back to California; Bill eventually leaving Derry again too - are roughly the same. I think this is supposed to indicate edginess. While the others travel to Derry with only hazy memories and a sense of dread, Stan slashes his wrists in the bathtub soon after getting the call. Obviously that would be a story that's not in the book, it would be a freestanding story, but obviously within the same universe. And last but not least, the fans who day-by-day boosted our spirits by reminding us how much this story means to them. Speaking to in September 2017, Muschietti revealed that the film would also incorporate the character Maturin — an ancient turtle and the antithesis of It. Beverly Marsh is also free of the emotional turmoil that colored her childhood, in which she endured bullying at school and abuse at home, and looks set to move on romantically with Ben. Footage from the film was shown at the on April 2, 2019. Noncommittal allusion to one character's possible homosexuality contradicts a romantic subplot but earns woke points for for some I'm sure. Kersh, an apparently sweet and gentle elderly woman, and actually a perfidious monster, who lives in Beverly's childhood home; as Hobo, a man who encountered Eddie at the 29 Neibolt Street house, and also as The Witch, the monstrous form of Mrs. All except one dude who lives in an attic above a library, who has been preparing for the return of the killer clown. Andy Muschietti returned to direct. The movie is over 2 hours long, which is way longer than is deserved. Much of the location work was done in and around during summer 2018, as the town stood in for the fictional ; signs and decor were changed as necessary. Pennywise taunts Richie about his sexuality, leading to him deciding to leave again and reconsidering again after recalling Stan's bar mitzvah, before menacing Eddie in the guise of the Leper, only to flee when Eddie standing up to It causes the being to shrink in size. The biggest shudders are of delight as It Chapter Two flip-flops between timeframes to chase the poignancy and sweet melancholy that King writes so well. A release on , , and was on December 10, 2019 in the United States. It's the second half, it's not a sequel. Bill regroups with the others before running off to the carnival and into a funhouse after learning It is going after Dean, only to end up watching helplessly as It kills the boy in front of him. Mike proceeds to rip out It's heart so he and the Losers can crush it, finally killing It for good. As an adult, Eddie is a successful risk assessor for an insurance firm in New York City and is married to Myra, who is very similar to his over-protective mother Sonia. Anything in the Stephen King Universe interests me but there's only so much of the story we could tell in the two movies. The Losers' Club heads down into the sewers and begins to perform the ritual, which involves chanting and burning the tokens, but it doesn't work. Afterward, another flashback sees Richie carving initials into a fence, although we don't get to see what they are. Plot In 2016, , a young gay man, visits the local carnival in , with his boyfriend. The first teaser poster of the film was released on October 31, 2018. By April 2018, Hader and were in talks to join the cast to play adult versions of Richie Tozier and Bill Denbrough, respectively. Derry High School exteriors were filmed at the Mount Mary Retreat Centre in. But, when everyone is together, it can be felt an interesting and fluid interaction in which visually, all together, contribute with the most important drops of nostalgia in the film. He promises that he and the other Losers will return to Derry if It resurfaces. As an adult, he is an attractive and successful but lonely architect living in upstate New York and running his own company called Hanscom Architecture. The new owner of the house is an elderly woman named Mrs Kersh — and long-time fans will almost certainly remember her from the books. Luke Roessler portrays Dean, a young boy who meets Bill near the storm drain where Georgie was killed in 1988, and is later killed by It at the Funland, while Ryan Kiera Armstrong appears as Victoria Fuller, a little girl with a large birthmark on her cheek, who is killed by It after he lures her to under the bleachers at a baseball game. The trailer is coming Thursday, at noon. As an adult, Bill is a successful mystery novelist in Los Angeles, and is married to a successful actress named Audra Phillips. A brand new trailer, billed as the final teaser for the film, has been released today July 18. Sophia Lillis chose and Finn Wolfhard chose , both of whom would end up cast in those roles. Katie Lunman reprises her role as Betty Ripsom in a vocal capacity, in addition to portraying a second character, Chris Unwin. He'll never forget his love for Eddie, either as a friend or unrequited romantic partner, but since the remaining Losers seem likely to remain friends for years to come, they'll all be able to keep Eddie's memory alive. Xavier Dolan will play Adrian Mellon, a Derry man who is in a relationship with Don Hagarty. In hindsight, it makes sense, as Richie was always closest to Eddie, and it's possible his rampant sexual jokes about women as a kid were just an attempt to disguise his true feelings. Last Updated: December 18, 2019 Warning! In September 2018, it was revealed that would appear in the film. All Much like the first movie, It Chapter Two has a lot of disturbing scenes, and none of them include Pennywise a. Mike takes Bill to his library abode and shows him, via a drug-induced vision, that the Shokopiwah 's Ritual of Chüd can stop It for good. This helps give him the final push he needs to return back to the cave and, as the leader of the Losers, take the fight to Pennywise and ultimately defeat it at the. It also briefly appears without clown makeup, as his alias Bob Gray also played by Skarsgård. There are definitely elements of the novel you could expand on and make its own movie. Set in 2016, 27 years after the first film, it stars , , , , , , , and , who returns as. Back in the 1980s, coming out of the closet was much more likely to earn one a rebuke from loved ones than it is today. However, people are disappearing again, so Mike, the only one of the group to remain in their hometown, calls the others home. Before getting to the end, it's necessary to join the characters in their personal walkthrough in which they will be attacked by their retrieved memories. Pennywise even smartly twists the knife into Bill by crafting a scenario in which he has to watch another helpless child get murdered. The Losers meet for dinner at a Chinese restaurant, where Mike refreshes their memories while they are tormented by hallucinations and learn of Stan's death. Both are ambushed by the gang and severely beaten, and Adrian is thrown off the bridge into the water below. On the other side, there's a better cast work than independent acting. The Losers regroup and realize the only way to stop It is by making it feel small. Other forms of It include Joan Gregson as Mrs. There are references to him struggling with his feelings, although it's kept a little vague at first. Then again, the ritual is suggested to Bill by Maturin the cosmic turtle in the book, which perhaps gave it more weight. Por otro lado, hay un mejor trabajo de elenco que de actuación independiente. It Chapter 2 filming set New Behind The Scenes! It received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its acting and themes, but criticism for its near-three hour runtime and weaker scares compared to its predecessor. Keene, and Keene's daughter Gretta, respectively. While it seems like the Losers are spreading out, it's not hard to imagine them gathering again from time to time, since all but Mike became rich and successful, and one assumes he'll get there too in time. Thank you and Love to you all. Damaged by the experiences of Twenty-seven years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise, he has returned to terrorize the town of Derry once more. This is the second collaboration between McAvoy, Chastain, Hader, Weixler and Beinbrink after. The clown was scary, but not as much as in the Not as good as the first one. By September 2017, announced that it would be released in September 2019, with Dauberman writing the script and Muschietti to direct. Henry unsuccessfully attempts to murder Eddie before attacking Mike, though Richie intervenes and kills him. The snaps, which were taken back in August, show Chastain and McAvoy joining the rest of the gang as they film a scene in costume. There are many glorious scenes here and a real frisson comes from seeing the adult Losers all good, with Hader the standout return to the Barrens, Keenes Pharmacy and, of course, the house of Neibolt Street. Pennywise is It's favorite and primary form. It attacks the Losers and places Bill, Ben, and Beverly in nightmarish scenarios, which they escape once Bill lets go of his guilt over Georgie's death and Beverly realizes Ben wrote the love letter, while Richie and Eddie are forced to choose from three doors. It Chapter Two Original Motion Picture Soundtrack No. The sewer system set was constructed at Pinewood, while the actual grate is located in North York.
